Interview Michiel Das in the Diari de Sant Cugat (Catalan)

Interview published in the the newspaper Diari de Sant Cugat about the Sant Cugat Network, a project launched by Michiel Das to bring foreigners into contact with the locals living in the city of Sant Cugat del Vallès, explaining a bit more about his experience as an Erasmus student in Barcelona and as a foreigner living in Sant Cugat del Vallès.

The Diari de Sant Cugat is one of the most important newspapers of the city of Sant Cugat del Vallès (with more than 85000 inhabitants the third most populated city in the Vallès Occidental region of Barcelona).

Between October 2009 and September 2010, Michiel worked as a freelance journalist for the Dutch website BarcelonaTips.nl, writing, editing and proofreading articles in Dutch (Flemish) about car rentals, how to find a parking space in the city centre, hotels and things to do in Barcelona.

 BarcelonaTips.nl is an online travel guide for Dutch speaking tourist coming to Barcelona, offering a wide range of articles about the city and its surroundings.

Presentation of the Sant Cugat Network on the website of Cugat.cat (Catalan)

Interview with Michiel Das on the website of Cugat.cat, presenting his project Sant Cugat Network and explaining a bit more about his participation at the Yuzz programme. The interview was closely related with the radio interview that appeared one day earlier on the same website.

Yuzz is a programme for young entrepreneurs between 18 and 30 years old who want to launch a technology based business idea. The Sant Cugat Network was one of the selected projects to participate in the Yuzz programme of the city of Sant Cugat del Vallès.

Radio interview about the Sant Cugat Network and life as a foreigner in Barcelona (Catalan)

Radio interview with Michiel Das for the Cugat.cat news magazine about the launch of the Sant Cugat Network, a non-profit association that wants to stimulate the contact between foreigners and locals living in the city of Sant Cugat del Vallès, and his life and experiences as a foreigner in Sant Cugat del Vallès, and in Barcelona in general. 

With more than 80000 inhabitants, the city of Sant Cugat del Vallès is one of the most important cities of the Vallès Occidental region, located directly behin the Tibidabo and Collserola Natural Park that seperates it from the city of Barcelona. Cugat.cat is one of the main news agencies of the city, with daily radio and television news, and a digital newspaper.

End of the Yuzz programme (Catalan)

Report by TV Sant Cugat about the end of the Yuzz programme organised by the Banesto Foundation and City of Sant Cugat del Vallès.

Yuzz is a programme for young entrepreneurs between 18 and 30 years old who want to launch a technology based business idea. Michiel Das's project 'Sant Cugat Network' was selected, and during 6 months he participated in the programme, receiving support and advice (from assigned facilities where he could develop his idea, to counseling and mentoring sessions).

Belgious Catering at Red Deluxe (Spanish)

Presentation of Belgious Catering during the Red Deluxe networking event of December 2010 where Belgious was in charge of the catering.

Belgious is Barcelona-based restaurant chain offering its customers a mix of gourmet ice cream, a wide selection of Brazilian fruit juices and shakes, and Belgian crepes and waffles. As Belgious Catering's Product Manager, it was Michiel's job to assist and participate actively in networking events to ensure a greater visibility of the brand.

Interview Erasmus experience Barcelona (Dutch)

Interview with Michiel Das about his Erasmus experience in Barcelona, where he was studying and doing internships between 2007 and 2009. The interview was published on the website "Studeer in het buitenland".

"Studeer in het buitenland" is a project launched by the Flanders Agency for Mobility and Cooperation in Higher Education (Flamenco VZW) where Flemish students share their Erasmus experience in order to stimulate students to complete (a part of) their studies in another European country and in another European language.

Nedwork Spain article about Belgious Catering (Dutch)

NedWork Spain published a small article about the launch of Belgious Catering in their Nedwork Spain magazine edition of December 2010, writing about the catering possibilities that were being offered to companies in the centre of Barcelona. 

Nedwork Spain, an online platform and magazine for Dutch entrepeneurs living in Spain, contacted Belgious to get some more information about the catering product line. As Belgious Catering's Product Manager Michiel was in charge of writing the official press release.

Review Belgious Catering (Dutch)

Review about Belgious Catering that was published on the blog of Mabel, one of the most influential Dutch bloggers writing about Barcelona, concerning the new Belgious Catering concept that was launched in November 2010.

As Belgious Catering's Product Manager it was Michiel's duty to contact bloggers and invite them to come and taste Belgious' products and give an honest review about them on their blog, in order to inform their readers about this new service of the Belgious Group.
